Thanks for stopping by, I’m Tina, the creator / candle maker / owner of Lamp on a Hill Candle Co. Welcome to my wonderful world of stunning, scented objects!

In 2019 while I was visiting a good friend, I found her in her kitchen making candles with her family. I was fascinated and got myself a candle starter kit. I didn’t think twice about it as creating anything with my hands is like air to my lungs. Since then I have been hooked and have enjoyed learning and perfecting the science that goes into creating an ideal candle. I’m a busy mum of 4 kids and with the amazing support of my husband, my hobby has become my full-time role. This gives me the ability to juggle family life and the business from our home where I lovingly hand pour our products in our candle studio located on the Northern Beaches of Sydney Australia.

I named my business Lamp on a Hill Candle Co - a reminder of one of my favourite bible verses found in Matthew 5:14.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."

My first ever range was Jars of Faith and I will always keep this as part of my core range as I encourage others to Shine their Light.
